A Little Diversion

One of the reasons I decided to move to Dallas, from Chicago, seven years ago was because it was the only other relatively large city with some family already here. I wanted to be on my own, but still have some support close just in case. Well I finally got to offer a little support to my extended family this time, in the form of Livi. I had lunch with my Aunt Lynne Dee and cousin (in law) Trish, and since Livi was home from MDO she got to join us. I think everyone was happy to have Livi there, what a good diversion. Trish is staying in Dallas with her husband while he undergoes cancer treatments; they live in Albuquerque. Jeff, my cousin, seems to being doing better here, but of course that's all relative when you're talking about the big C. We all hope he gets better soon & really hope he gets to go home to be with his kids. Even though the unfortunate circumstances for their being here, it was nice to see Trish; we had a great time visiting!

After Trish returned home for a weekend, my Aunt Bari came to visit Jeff. It happened to be the same time my parents were visiting us, so they had a mini family reunion; not all of the family, but a pretty good amount all happened to be in Dallas at the same time. I'm so glad some of my family got to meet the girls finally. Jeff and his family are in our thoughts and prayers, we love you!
