Little Swimmers

A few weekends ago we took the girls swimming with Granny + Papa to see their new skills from swim lessons.  They did awesome!!  Livi jumped in the pool, then climbed out, THE WHOLE TIME.  Needless to say she slept the whole way home.  Ava did great too, jumping and swimming under water.  I am SO proud of them!!

Fishing with Daddy

We had a fun holiday weekend over July 4th; one day we took the girls to the little lake close to us for some fishing.  Daddy even put hooks on their lines!!!!....I really didn't support that idea, but everyone seemed to do OK, no casualties.  Despite the smiling in the pictures, it wasn't necessarily a favorite activity for the girls, although Livi enjoyed it slightly more than Ava.  Momma enjoyed sitting in the shade with the nice breeze off the water.  And Daddy....was worn out from keeping track of everyone's line.

We celebrated the 4th of July with some low key fireworks (snakes & sparklers) in the backyard, with our friends Bob, Lynn & Ella.
