More Christmas

A better image of the "roller coaster" for Livi. Still haven't gotten a good shot of Ava's pink kitchen, but will after we get the tree down and move some things around. I'm loving these days at home, just playing; and it's 80 degrees....weird, even for Dallas, this time of year. Next week...Florida! Yippee!

Christmas Morning

Big sis woke up first, practically running out of bed to the living room. We let Livi sleep in; I think she's working on her 2 year molars so the sleep is a good break for her little gums. Well, Santa came through, Ava got her pink kitchen! Unfortunately the sink doesn't have "real water", but Mommy + Daddy thank Santa for leaving that part out.Livi got a mini roller coaster, which Ava happily tested for her before she woke up.

And little sis wakes up...Hmmm, more to come, but I'm having trouble posting more pictures right now.... stay tuned.

Seeing Santa

A couple of weekends ago Jeff took Ava to see Santa; I had to study for a test and Livi was napping. We weren't real sure how Livi would take to sitting on Santa's lap this year since she's a little shy around strangers. Jeff also went to scope out the scene at Bass Pro Shop since we heard the Santa display was pretty good. Ava had a great time! And despite Santa's "break" in the middle of their wait all went well.

So last weekend we took both girls back. Livi had a slight melt down in line, only because I had to hold her back from running to Santa while it was another kid's turn. So she was definitely eager....yea!

They also had little stations set up around Santa for coloring, crafts, etc. The highlight for the girls might have been the candy canes, since I keep a close eye on the ones on our Christmas tree.

Family Portrait..minus one.

A whole family portrait....yeah right! I do not have the energy at the end of the day, nor on the weekends, to force my husband to pose and keep the girls still. So, this is the best I could do, a snapshot before Jeff + I were off to my employer's Christmas party. It was at the House of Blues, hence the informal attire. Good time! And look at Ava, what a cutie; so happy!! I'm guessing Livi was off in the other room removing her diaper.

Thank you Aunt Jill + Uncle Robert for the pink monkeys!!! I only let them open one gift, they put the other under the tree. And thank you for the books too! What a nice surprise we got in the mail. We love you!
